Marathon in a week day 7

Posted earlier but its not here so trying again 😳 well it’s over and I managed to complete the distance running 8 x in 7 days. Learnings are never do anything again without rest and recovery days and if my ability matched my determination I’d be a better runner (jogger) It was never easy but the relief and if I allow myself a little pride at the end made it worthwhile. Wherever you are on your couch to 5k journey follow the program stick to the rest days and take it steady. Good luck to you all

Going to follow a 5k plan. It’s over 8 weeks with two rest days a week and one a CT day so bike for me. Also doing the lightsaber 5k on May 4th and I’ll probably do the Sunrise 5k too in July. Be nice getting back to every other day running 🏃🏻‍♂️ and thanks for the kind comment 👍🏼 Amazing where couchto5k can take you !!

Congratulations on completing it!

My quest in March was to run or walk at least 3k everyday, post IC.

I did it but it took real determination to go out everyday. Well done!

I am glad you have come through unscathed, but as I said before you started, it is not a particularly good idea for your level of experience. Get back to slow and steady progress.

You were spot on and the slower pace was more out of necessity as the week went on rather than me slowing down. The hard lessons are sometimes the best ones. Going to enjoy the rest day today that’s for sure. 👍🏼

Well done. Quite a challenge. Made me realise that I regularly do almost a half marathon a week in three runs: 5k, 5K and 10k. And to think this time last year I was getting nervous about W4 runs
