Well done us!!!👍🏼

After a holiday then an illness break, watching the London Marathon on tv spurred me to go out and run today despite my really nasty chesty cough.

It made me realise these things:

1) That a 2 week break has no detrimental effect on a C25K graduate.

2) That running clears the congestion in my nose and chest like nothing else can..... (won’t elaborate... but you can imagine...?)

3) Sitting on my arse and resting as instructed by well meaning friends for 5 days does not and did not clear the congestion in my nose and chest. Running 5km just did.....

4) I now feel proud and fit again.

The health and well-being benefits of running (even slowly like me) are noticeable, achievable and exciting to experience.

All you lot on this forum are going for and achieving one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Give yourselves a big pat on the back and keep running. ❤️

The advice I have often read on here is that symptoms above the neck; run. Symptoms below the neck don’t. No idea of where this comes from but seems sensible

Maybe you are just on the mend and ready to start again

It’s a lovely day for 🏃‍♂️
