Forced me into it...

All this London marathon business I’ve been watching this morning has pushed me into it! Signed up to a local 10k and going to do this as the basis. I’ve ran before but I’m ridiculously unfit now so going to start with this. Early morning run tomorrow to start the day off!

Read this first... and take the great tried and tested advice in there... Slow and steady is the mantra... and will get you to amazing places. Pay real attention the bit about shoes!

Keep the 10K goal in mind...BUT.... get there safely. The injury couch is a horrid, lonely place to be.

There are no shortcuts.. just a structured and steady building up of the running legs....

So, lecture over, welcome and very, very well done for deciding to do this... we look forward to your first post:)

Thanks for that! Definitely going to be a slow start but will see how I go. Making sure I stick to the program. Thanks for the advice!

Welcome to the party.....
