A very hot sunny morning!

Morning all!

I haven’t posted for a while, I had to leave the running shoes at home for a few weeks due to injury and personal reasons.... I have since repeated a few runs where I left off to help me get back into it! 😀

This morning was W6R2, which turned out to be a ‘practice run’ and will repeat on Tuesday. I completely underestimated the heat and the sun ☀️ started off well but I ended the first 10 mins on a speed that was too quick for me, I unintentionally picked up speed listening to George Michael singing freedom! (Thanks to jancanrun’s retro runners playlist - one of my favourite playlists to run too😁) Once I had walked for 3 mins I struggled to get going again, did 5mins of the second run and by this time the breeze had stop and there was no shade too run and hide in!

Note to self : save sunny runs for the evening when it’s cooler ☀️

Also, am I the only one who sees other people with the headphones in and wonder if the are doing C25k? And if they post in here? 😂 if the lady in the red the top that was running along the Sett Vally Trail this morning reads this, Hi 😄

Sorry you have had a tough time, glad you are able to get back to it now. Take it easy, nice and slow recovery. I often wonder if I pass people from here and not know. I think that’s one of reasons I smile at all the runners 😀.

Looks like a lovely place to run! I went out early this morning but it wasn’t too hot in eastern Scotland! I met a few runners today and I always wonder if they are doing C25K!! 😀
