Post grad run in Central Park - who would have thought that 2 months ago?! Was VERY hot at 7am but soooo many runners around. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Stopped and walked a bit to take pics - how could I resist? I did it in 37 mins - but wasnโt doing it for timing just to complete it. ๐ฌ๐๐ผ

Well done you!! And an iconic bit of Central Park to run around. Remember Marathon Man? Hopefully you'll not see any dentists with heavy German accents.
What you need to do now is get a subway to Brooklyn and spend the next 24hrs in Junior's eating the finest selection of cheescakes known to mankind. (Strawberry Shortcake and/or Devil's Foodcake (yes a cake with a cheesecake inside it) if you fancy bringing me a slice home.)
Junior's does do international shipping too! Seriously, if you're fond of cheesecake, and who isn't, it goes on the list. And you can always do the insanely lovely walk over the Brooklyn Bridge either before or after.
If you fancy another run, then Riverside Park on the Upper West Side is pretty spectacular too!!
Say "Hi" to the Old Lady for me. And Ellis Island is a really moving experience.
Not sure how long you're there, but if you have a weekday morning left have a look at the High Line. Disused railway track on the West Side, now an extraordinary elevated park. Walk along 34th St (not stopping at Macy's!!) across to 11th Avenue. One to avoid at weekends because it's mega busy and go early to avoid the French/German tourist hordes!! Takes you down into the Meat Packing District and then head east into the Village for a good lunch!!
While I'm there with you in spirit at least, make sure you see the new Oculus building right next to the 9/11 Memorial. It's the new transit hub (which sounds really dull) but it's an astonishing building with a HUGE open atrium/mall in the bottom. Staggering stuff. Have a Google for "NYC Oculus" and droll over the pictures. Nice short walk from Chambers St and there's a Century 21 right there too. (Tho the one on Broadway opposite Lincoln Center is less frantic.)
And you shd really pop into the NY Runners Club shop in Columbus Circle and buy a running memento!!
You're making me "home from home" sick now!! But I'm enjoying being a tour guide!!
Ok, so you're officially amazing!!! Loving the pic, what a finish to a fabulous journey. But it isn't the finish, just the start, of a new chapter. Massive respect and well done Ripcurl. Sharron.
