Myself and the wife have just started this program and are really excited to get on with it.
I am 32, 5ft 10 and 225lb. I’m classed as obese and have never really done any excersise in my life.
Started with week 1 and we did good. First run was a real struggle but we completed it. 2/3 seemed much easier but still tough.
We did run 1 of week 2 yesterday and I was absolutely exhausted post run for around an hour. Then perked up. Had 8 hours sleep, when I woke up, I was absolutely exhausted and really didn’t want to get up. This has lasted most of the day. Feel more awake as the day has gone on.
Is it normal to feel to exhausted? I guess it’s a huge amount of extra work for my body having gone from 0 excersise.
How do you feel after your run and into the next day?
Does it get easier 😂

Keep going! It works! I struggled with one minute runs and now I’m on 30 mins within 8 weeks! Set your run days and stick to them, and don’t go too fast. Slow down then slow down more 💪🏽
When I started I was exhausted and was falling asleep in the evening, in week two felt much more energised but I have again struggled with week 3 (also suffering a cold don’t think that’s helped) on the plus I am sleeping so much better. Keep with it we can do this
I guess your body is adjusting, I have good days and bad days, if I was due to run today I would have put it back a day because Im feeling very tired. However, I bet you will be soon looking forward to that next run and I will be reading on here how brilliant you feel
Thanks for the positive comments. Good to hear it’s pretty normal.
Think I over did it. We have literally just completed run 2 for week 2. We did 2 min miles slower on the runs and now home feel like I can carry on with my day no problem. Rather than flaking out.
Felt much better and could talk and run not run and be totally breathless. Loving this!!
