Try to land gently.. this is a great habit to begin...I call it kissing the ground with your feet Warm up well and plenty of stretches afterwards..
Then strength and stamina exercise will be extremely helpful
We are not medical experts, but your issues were a while ago.. have you done exercise over the nine years until now.. This programme is so structured and gentle that it may be ideal for you..but it will be worth checking it out with an expert
