How much ache is good ache?

Morning - I’ve completed week 1 on Thursday, but since then I’ve really been aching, especially my lower back.

This is a bit of a worry ... about 9 yrs ago I had awful back problems - 1 disc worn away and 1 slipped disc.

Is running just a silly idea for me?

Aches and pains are to be expected.... have you checked out the post for Newbies.. there is a lot of great advice there.

Try to land gently.. this is a great habit to begin...I call it kissing the ground with your feet:) Warm up well and plenty of stretches afterwards..

Then strength and stamina exercise will be extremely helpful:)

We are not medical experts, but your issues were a while ago.. have you done exercise over the nine years until now.. This programme is so structured and gentle that it may be ideal for you..but it will be worth checking it out with an expert:)

Keep us posted?

Thank you. I Knowni definitely don’t land gently - something I’ll be mindful of.

I’ve not done really any exercise in the intervening years unfortunately - so I do definitely need a gentle build up.

I’ve downloaded some stretches and have a Pilates dvd being delivered today.nie all I have to do is marry it altogether.

I’m just so nervous of my back. At the time I had to have 12 weeks off work and it just affected everything.

Thank you

Hi. I graduated in March after starting the program on December and I have two prolapsed discs. Just watch your posture and how you land x
