If you click on your profile you get tabs, ie following followed etc. You can find their posts here.

You should get it flagged on your e mail in box

Hi Jan, you are following me, but I haven't posted on this site for a while ( apart from admin stuff) ...when someone you follow writes a post you get a notification in your email, and at the little bell symbol at the top of the page..😊x
