Woohoo! Brilliant! Bet the kids will love this! πŸ˜ƒ

They do, because its real .. they were horrified at my resting heart rate compared to theirs ..the fact that they are at least 40 years younger than me didn't count! So they have me on a keep fit mission .. I actually signed up for a 5K race for life in July in front of them. They sure will keep me to account.

That is awesome, love that you're sharing it with them! Also loving your reaction to fitbit calling it a run, hell yeah it's a run! πŸ˜‹

its been the easter holidays and i bumped into a group of my students in the local high street, it was the first thing they asked..how was c25k going and Ive told them I've kept the graphs and I expect them to analyse them for me to see how I'm progressing. There is a great one showing how my resting heart rate has gone down from 73 to 61 in the past 4 weeks

Well done..dreading that one! Good use of info to support your students learning! πŸ˜‰

I think because of the support on here I was mentally ready which sounds hilarious because it sounds like I was preparing for a marathon, but in many ways it was. I totally relaxed into it and I found it ok, which totally surprised me but tbh I'm surprised after every run. Like they say trust the programme and trust yourself ..go slow then even slower oh and I talked to myself to check i wasn't running too fast lol

Impressive graphs! :) Well done, hopefully you may motivate some of your students to take up exercise as well! Keep going! :)

I hope so, during discussion about health and exercise the girls tend to be concerned about what people think and I get that .. I still try and run in secret lol and the boys generally admit they spend way too much time on computer gaming.

Its a shame particularly with lots of young girls these days wanting to look exactly like each other especially with all the pouting that goes on in their selfies. If only exercise could be seen as an attractive thing to do with all youngsters getting involved! :) Hopefully you will inspire them! :)

Great stuff. The kids at my school couldn't believe that I joined in with their Sports Relief mile a day - they're primary age so think I'm more than ancient!

Enjoy the rest of Wk4 😊

Thank you I will, I bumped into a student I taught now well on in their 30s the other day and she said wow you look just like you did when I was in school. Great so I must have looked old then I replied, but as she said ..all teachers look old lol

That reply made me smile it’s a huge thing to know that you actually inspired even just one person. This community is very helpful and indeed inspiring in itself. I’ll be thinking about us lot when I complete week 4 tomorrow.
