Morning

Now completed week 2 run 2 and now getting pains in shins and calves any suggestions would be accepted

I stretch and warm up stretch and cool down

I’m wearing compression socks today to see if that help but no change

Also bought good trainers

Thanks in advance 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well done, I get calve pain but it gets better with each run. I think the body is naturally lazy and moans a lot! Keep it up.

Don’t know about the shins, for me getting new trainers with proper cushioning sorted those but looks like you’ve tried that.

I had sore calves for most of C25K. Stretching after running is definitely important and a foam roller can help too. Also an extra day off can be good. I found at times that one day between runs wasn’t enough so don’t be afraid to leave more if your body needs time to catch up.

My only advice is to grin and bear it... Your body is adapting to new demands, and it will stop eventually.
