Recommendations please 😁

Hi all me again! Do any of you lovely ladies have any recommendations for leggings?! I have tried a few Nike pairs and they just slide down I concentrate too much on keeping them up whilst running or worrying that they are too see through in the light 😒 also, trainers. I haven't had time for gait analysis but found online about a wet footprint test and my footprint showed 'support' so any recommendations for either would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all !

I got the cheapest but most elasticated leggings that I could find in Sports Direct. They keep everything in and haven’t travelled southwards once yet 😁 They’re LA Gear and just a flecks grey. Done me proud so far.

I was worried about going for cheaper ones but seeing as the more expensive ones are absolutely rubbish I will give it a go thanks tailchaser!

Just make sure they're high waisted and have a draw string. Gait analysis recommended. Enjoy

My leggings are from Sainsbury's! They are high-waisted enough not to descend and are if a wicking material so they're comfy. Mainly black with some turquoise.

Lovely thanks msanni I was looking at sainsbury ones the other day but wasn't sure if they would do the job, will give them a go!

I wanted leggings quickly and I didn't want to put money into the pocket of a sports shop mogul with poor employee practices and Sainsbury's is close. 😊

Mine too! The high waist and broad waist band have meant no falling down for me yet! Highly recommended.

I jut bought a pair of leggings from Sainsbury’s too! They are thick but light weight and stay up! Very comfortable.

Karimor more ones are good just 1 rear pocket but they stay up even with an iPhone in the pocket

They’re more expensive than some, but I swear by ‘sturdy by design’. Very comfortable, great designs, zip pocket, and last for ages.

I don't remember where I bought my favourites. I guess Amazon, maybe eBay. I have only short leggings - knee hight from Ultrasport with drawstring, antislip hem line on ends, and key pocket as a bonus.

I love new balance gear being a larger lady I try to go for a higher lycra content as it stops everything jiggling about. As for trainers I have sacony for overpronation both are a tad on the expensive side so I linger about for the sales. X

I got mine from Tesco (£12). They’re so comfy that I bought another identical pair(Black with pink stripe down side & purple in front) They’re high waisted and stay put perfectly.😀

Agree here. Tried bike etc. But Tesco win for me.

M&S leggings are great - mine have a drawstring and stay up. If you look on the M&S website you can read reviews before you choose to make sure you pick a good pair. I had the same problem as you with Adidas leggings, it was infuriating pulling them up all the time!

My favourite ones are mostly Decathlons Kalenji ones. Most have a tie at the waste for extra security. :) Love them.

Agreed. I've got Decathlon ones too.

I have some from primark that I love. Have a pocket and stay up well. Cheap too. Figured i didn’t want to spend daft money on something that hopefully won’t fit for long. They have various designs.

Decathlon kalenji Work for me. And they do great sales. I paid under £25 for 2 pairs 🙂

I like getting the Aldi ones when they have a special buy. High waist, drawstring and a small rear pocket. And definitely not see through!

The best leggings I have found are sturdybydesign.com/

These also have a drawstring in the waist so work really well 😍

I got mine in m and s sale. They certainly grip it all in!!. Broad waist band, and an inner drawstring, but they are snug enough, so I have never need to use that.

I always just get from Sainsburys, they are very good quality, are a good fit and look nice (always important for us girls) :) plus there is often a sale on. I have tried 'brands' and to be honest are happier with this supermarket brand.

Try TK max as well? They normally have a rail with leggings on it all different styles and shapes. I have 2 pairs from there and both hold everything in and don’t fall down...

I have two pairs of Slazenger leggings which I found in TK Maxx and I absolutely love them. Don’t seem to appear on Slazenger website tho so a bit stuck for what to do when these go!

I’m scared to wear leggings as I’ve chunky thighs & they’d probably look ridiculous 😟

I was like that in the beginning, as I have the thighs like that of an ex-olympic shot-putter who has gone to seed (badly!) :) I started out in a cheapo pair of shell like capris but had to ditch them for leggings as I was seriously at risk of death by fire from all the friction! A decent pair of lycra leggings does hold it all in much better than you might expect. By a sale/outlet pair and give it a go :)

Make sure you're buying the right size. We tend to buy tight fitting clothing in a bigger size as we don't want to look like misshapen sausages. My leggings were slipping down because they were a L when they should have been a M.

Please go to a running shop for shoes. If you need supportive shoes you need the right support. I run in Brooks vapor 4 shoes but also own Asics gel exalt for casual. Both excellent support shoes and both very different fit. I couldn't run comfortably in the Asics. Even if you just go for advice and to try some. There are great deals online but you need the right size (bigger than your street shoes) and the right kind of support 👍😁

I recommend Bam leggings and all their clothing! They are made from bamboo so are environmentally friendly. They cost a bit more but that’s probably because they pay the people who make them a decent wage. I like to know my clothes aren’t made by poverty stricken children!

Gait analysis doesn't take long and is well worth it to get a good pair of shoes that are right for you :)

I really like the Next own brand leggings, they fit well, good price, wash well. 😀
