Just started my journey today. Cannot believe how unfit I am. I used to run regularly but then life and work got in the way. I'm determined to get fitter πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Welcome to the forum.

This guide healthunlocked.com/couchto5... has lots of advice.

This plan works. Those who have run in the past need to forget their former exploits and accept the advance of years. C25K is about gently building stamina, not pushing hard. That way you will surprise yourself how quickly it all comes back

Keep us posted.

Great decision! You won't regret it. This programme is fantastic and it teaches you more than just how to run. πŸ‘πŸ˜

The hardest thing about starting to run again is to not beat yourself up about what you could do before. I am so guilty of this. Ran a marathon last year and get frustrated with myself for letting my fitness go. Be proud that you are getting out there and doing something- all too easy to just stay in

That is really great advice. I think that is where I’ve gone wrong in the past - focussing on what I used to be able to do rather than recognising things change and any positive step is a step in the right direction.
