I’m using a tread mill at the gym as I found outside to hard on my knees, hope to build strength up to run on the ground but.... if I can’t get onto the tread mill( very small gym) can I use the cross trainer instead? Anyone know?

The cross trainer is really for people who are less able bodied or rehabbing injury. It is great for them but will not really replace doing a run. That said, if you are unable to do any kind of run, doing some kind of cardio, be it cross trainer, rowing machinem stair climber even spin bike will be giving you the cardio vascular work. It is a lot better than doing nothing, just don't count it off yourweek's sessions
