Hi everyone. I'm Jan and I'm 54. I've done 5 full moon walks for walk the walk. It's a full on power walking marathon. My best time was 6 hours 30mins. The last one was 2013 and that killed my hips lol! Running has never been my thing. Walk for miles but run never. I started C25K a couple years ago. I got to week week 5 the 20 minute run and did that with 2 stops in between. Then I gave up. Took this up again earlier this year and have been pretty consistent. All runs on the treadmill. I've now completed week 9 run 1. I ran for a full 30 mins. That has always been my aim. My back hurts a bit so a couple days off should be ok. I should graduate on Thursday. I'm just amazed that I've come so far. I'm loving this new me. I love that my stamina is so strong. And loving the little weight loss too. I'm a runner. Might not be fast but I'm a runner. And a happy one at that.

Well done Jan! I am 50 and like you have never been a runner but c25k has really changed that. I have just finished week 8 so one more to go but feel great. I had some lower back pain and, on recommendation from friends, invested in some proper running shoes- they have made a huge difference.
