Woo! Feeling on a high. Deceived by the sun and went in shorts with shorts under (see other post) and my legs are freeeeeezing. But wow, feels good to have done week 1.

Just finished W1R3 this morning. Actually felt good compared to the struggle of R1. I am a bit apprehensive about W2 but also excited to be doing this.

Good to have a virtual running buddy - well done making it through. Rewarding myself with some whiskey marmalade on toast with a cup of tea and feeling fired up for the day ahead.

W2 will be what it is. Looking at the chart there is only 1 minute more running. But I am feeling dead by 60 seconds after the first few runs in W1 so I think 50% more each time is going to be a challenge. Just looking forward to the longer walks between! I start this on Sunday 😱

Keep going!

Will do....I reckon I will struggle but have to keep reminding myself that I did no exercise before. Let me know how you do Sun too

Thank you! Am feeling ridiculously chuffed.

I don’t think I’ll ever run in shorts 😂

I only have fairly thick cotton joggers. And it looked too nice! Now I’ve got through W1 I will get some thin ones cos I clearly can’t run bare legged yet!

Well done! Don’t forget you can always slow down if you struggle with the longer runs.

Excellent! You should be chuffed, you're already running more than you were!

You're doing great 👍😁

How did W2 R1 go?

Jay66UK profile image

It was hard. My own fault for going out drinking the night before. But I dragged myself out there and completed each bit of running. Just!

Well done! My run partner is ill today so going tomorrow instead. Quite relieved as it is awful weather today.

Yeah the forecast was the only thing that pushed me out the door yesterday. The thought of running in this weather - hangover or not - was worse than just the hangover!

Did not end up going yesterday but just done it now. Was lucky in managing to avoid the rain. It was hard but I did it. Going out again on Fri and hoping I will find it a bit easier. Have you done W2R2 yet?

Did it this evening. Got soaked! Well done for doing yours. I’m also out again Friday. Keep going!

We can do this! I was having to jump puddles as it had rained so much. Next week I am running solo as my run buddy is on hol. It seems easier having someone to run with.

Doing mine alone - I’m a stubborn so and so and I push myself. I won’t be beaten into stopping until Jo Wiley says I can! Keep at it.
