Break after a fall

I fell over, quite hard onto my knees, 5 weeks ago, causing pain in my knees.

I'm now ready to start running again, but I had previously got as far as W5R2. I was just about to do the 20 minute run. Obviously I can't just pick up where I left off, anyone have any idea as to how far back in the programme I might have to go?

Try W4R1 just to get an idea?? You could always go back further IF it doesn’t work out? 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I agree with Lillybeth, try W4R1 - your body doesn't forget that fast. It's more doubt than anything else that gets us worried after a couple of weeks away. Whatever you do will be good for you.

It is a matter of suck it and see............only you will know how much fitness you have lost when you get back.

Head out.. try an Irishprincess jogette, and see how it feels :) treat it like a dress rehearsal:)

I think you will be fine... and I am glad you are not too badly hurt... ( I had an argument with a large Fern and a wheelbarrow on Saturday... lots of wonderful bruises, all down one side:)

Thanks everyone! I went for an Irish princess jogette, after all I am one! W3R1, which turned out to be the right choice. I really haven't been able to do much for 5 weeks. It felt ok at the time, but I feel a lot better now - and I'll only have lost a couple of months overall I suppose.

Oldfloss, sorry to hear about your fall, sounds ouchie!
