Well the sun was shining, and it was lunchtime. Definitely wrong trousers time. On with the shorts! New competition for amusing photos if you are feeling brave.
Now I graduated in November, since when I have been running 5k from more or less wherever I happen to be between 2 and 3 times a week.
I'm lucky enough to travel in one of the jobs I'm doing at the moment, so have run in Cleveland OH, Mumbai, Bangalore,Teesside and ( my favourite) Hertfordshire.
I'm no spring chicken and maybe I'll push on to 10k at some point. In the meantime I'm learning to enjoy this. I remember the aches and pains of C25K, but trust me once you consolidate this, much gets easier and it hurts less too.
So off I go at lunch time, across the fields ( now dry). A steady pace (6 min 40 /km as if it matters). Met some people walking dogs, walking themselves and all seemed pleased with the sun. Got to 5Km. ( my normal end point), Hmmmmm. I'm enjoying this tramp, tramp tramp 6Km and still feeling good up a hill and 7Km. Ok thats enough. Wow and a few months ago 100m would have left me tired. Buzzing now..
So I put this down to my legs being shocked at the fresh air. Was a good run and bad runs now forgotten.
See you out there fellow Runner Beans. Daffs out = Legs out!
