Week 5 Run 1

Thanks to everyone for the advice on starting week 5. I did it last night and I was super chuffed how “easy” it felt in comparison to week 4 especially as I decided to try it outside which I’ve been finding more difficult than the treadmill. I also felt like I could have went longer in the end so that gives me a little more hope for the 20 minute run coming up. As I’m travelling I also try to go out before sunrise or at sunset when it’s cooler and who wouldn’t want to go out for a run with views like this!! Motivation is at an all time high this week!

Beautiful, where is this? Well done on the run. Do you run on sand? I have a holiday approaching and am concerned about the heat as I'm not an early bird and definitely NOT when on vacation! Seems evening runs may be the answer as I dodge the mosquitoes!

Gorgeous photo- what a beautiful place to run and very well done. The program takes you along step by step - you will be ready for those 20 mins when you get there. 😃

Thanks everyone! I’ve been living in Airlie Beach, Australia for the past 8 months and the programme has helped me get back into keeping fit but I have to admit it is difficult with the heat! I don’t run on the sand I’m lucky to have a boardwalk that runs for about 6km which is perfect for running. I ran for the first time yesterday when the sun was still out and I didn’t manage the second 8 minute run but I’m not deterred I’ll attempt it again tonight!
