The podcasts are fantastic, you don't have to think, just do what you are told and trust the process!

I found the middle run the hardest, the last minute seemed to last forever.....

Trying not to over think the rest of this week and hoping I'll get through. How is everyone else on week five going?

The ones on the NHS choices site. I'll see if I can send you a link!

Oh that’s the same kind of thing as on the C25k bbc get inspired app I thought everyone used? Have you been timing yourself before then?!

mergirl101 profile image

I've just used each week's podcast!

The BBC get inspired app means you can have music on too and it turns down the volume on the music when your mentor speaks to you 👍🏽

Ok, but I'm using my MP3 player, not my phone. Easier to carry, just clips on! The music is not always my choice but has a good beat!

I completed W5R1 yesterday and was surprised how good it went! Like you I found the middle set the hardest but the others were surprisingly fine! I'm a bit worried about the next two runs but everyone here has been so supportive that I really believe that we can all do this!

Good luck!

Me too! Mind over matter! Nevertheless I am going to have a nice hot bath tonight! It's wonderful sharing the "journey"! When are you doing run 2? Thursday hopefully for me!

I did w5r1 yesterday and I found it ok. My legs started to get tired towards the very end but surprised myself. I’ve been filling up on water for tomorrow’s run.

As everyone says, this programme just works! And I'm 65, average BMI, but didn't do any exercise before.

I struggled with running for ONE minute in week 1, but am now just about to start week 6. I've sneaked a preview, and thought WHAT.... that's easy - going backwards here after the last run in week 5 (I had previewed that too, and frightened myself.... but as I said, the programme just works, so I had no problems).

You can't go wrong - even the weather is getting better.

Thanks Chris, appreciate the post! Run 2 tomorrow and 3 planned on Saturday or Sunday!

Hi, ive just done run 2 week 5 and it was hard work but I see the next run is 20 mins run. Panic is now setting in - it’s a big jump. Did you manage it ok? Jan

mergirl101 profile image
mergirl101Graduate in reply tojanclifford

Hi Jan, well done on the run. yes I managed. Have to go slow and keep your breathing under control. The first 5 minutes seemed the hardest and slowest. Get through that and you will be fine!

There's heaps of posts about run 3, read them and you will see everyone gets scared but gets through. The program does work and believe you are ready!

Not what you're looking for?
