Running and jet lag

Excited is the understatement of the century. 10 days until we fly to Japan! And this is where week 9 will take place. What better way and place to finish C25K. However from my previous trip I also know that jet lag was quite brutal but that time exercising was not high on the agenda. This time I have all intention to include running and swimming into my holiday. Any advice from travellers on this forum on how best to prepare and once there whether to run right from the start ( may be a bit more gently) or to wait until the jet lag has worn off? As usual thank you in advance for your advice

Your restedness and hydration after a long flight will significantly affect your running performance and probably your enjoyment, so rest up.

You are in the home of niko niko, so just go nice and slow and enjoy the sights.
