Back from Injury and zombie state - w7 run 2

I had the pleasure of running in sunny California today! It feels amazing to run after 5 days. My ankle is almost fully healed but I ran very very slowly today to ensure there is no new damage. This run and plenty of sleep helped me come back from my zombie jet lagged state. Thanks MarkyD for the advice to walk a lot on my flight, this seems to have helped heal my ankle. Happy running everyone!

Wow that looks like a lovely place to run. I love seeing running photos from around the world, Rfc x

Thanks it was a beautiful view! BUT it looks like I went back to running too early, the injury is back :( I am not sure how long I have to rest. I so wanted to run during my visit here, but life has other plans. So walk it is.

Thanks Rfc, I am trying to minimise damage now. Hopefully I can get back to running in a few weeks.

Ooh, whereabouts in California are you? (If you don’t mind me asking ) I’m off there next week and looking forward to continuing the programme while I’m there. I’m hoping the sunshine and some warmth will be enough inspiration to shrug off the jet lag and get out there and run 🤔😂

I am in Orange county. Yes, the sunshine does motivate you! But do take the time to sleep well and get over the jet lag before running. I have found that drinking plenty of water helps both with jet lag and running. Wishing you a happy journey and good luck with running!
