Reebok Jet 100, stopped working

Hello All, sorry this post isn’t really running related. But is…..

I have a Reebok 100 Jet treadmill and it’s just stopped working. No errors or anything. The console isn’t lighting up so I’m guessing it’s something to do with the power. Can anyone tell me if they have had this and how they rectified the issue. Also, I can’t remember but does the on/off switch light up? Because mind isn’t. Any help would be greatly appreciated. So desperate to get back on it.

Thanks

Kelly

First thing is to check the fuse in the plug. Without establishing whether that is blown or not, there is not much point in progressing down a diagnostic route............that is after checking that the socket is switched on.

I have never had anything to do with a treadmill, but the above is the starting point in the case of any any mains powered electrical appliance that fails to show signs of life.

If the worst comes to prevail, the world is your running track.

Well if the fuse is intact, have you tried plugging something else into the socket to ensure that the fault is not in your house wiring, or perhaps a trip on that circuit has been triggered?

My dad had the same thing happen on his treadmill - it was a fault on the motherboard.

We took the cover off, unplugged the motherboard and sent it off to be repaired by The Treadmill Doctor, which cost about £50 for his treadmill.

He rang the bloke first and got a diagnosis over the phone, then we took lots of photos as we went so we could work out how to plug all the cables back in again afterwards.

My Dad is quite ‘handy’ and does a lot of repairs on his old car, so this might not be for everyone!

There’s probably someone you can call out to diagnose and repair it, but they can be quite pricey.

Good luck - let us know how you get on?

Thanks KayBee100 for a helpful reply, this is what my husband and I thought was the problem with the treadmill. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction to getting it fixed. I’ll let you know how I get on.

Thanks again!!
