Injured.. already

So I decided to go football training and have Injured my ankle. Went up the hospital this morning for X-rays but luckily it’s just a sprain. Really annoying as I wanted to do my W1R2 tonight!

These things happen but it's not a serious injury and you'll get back to the programme. Ankle injuries can take time to heal as there's little blood supply there so don't be too disheartened if it takes longer than you think. Rest it, elevate, ice it and do some ankle strengthening exercises if you can.

I'm sure you were told this at the hospital but don't run on it until the pain is completely gone. Continue to do strengthening exercises always as you might have a weakness there in the future.

I know these things because I've just recovered from a mild ankle injury but they do get better and you will run again.

It's frustrating but there is no time limit on the programme and it'll be there for you when you're ready to go back.
