For me I just repeated wk9 for a few weeks to get comfortable with 30 mins as a base, then tried the c25k+ podcasts and focused on running to 5k so I knew I'd be comfortable with that distance for the park run. Park run done I never seem to find the time to do another one, but I moved on to following ju-jus bridge to 10k plan and have now done 10k a few time and i'm holding steady at around 20km per week.
I actually stumbled across ju-jus plan when browsing earlier. Looks good. Think you're right, I'll stick with getting to 5k in the 30 mins and then look at going further. Thanks for your advice 😃
I was meaning just getting to 5k. Doing it in 30mins is pretty arbitrary and arguably meaningless, it's just a target of which you are free to set any. Most of us will never do 5k in 30 mins, but some will do it in 15. Unless you want to be an athlete i'm not sure chasing the time is worth it as what do you do when you get there?
Definitely do Parkrun ... it's a great way to run 5k. If you're currently running for 30 mins you'll be fine, some people walk most of the way so you won't be last,
