Just finished week 5 and managed a whole 20mins non stop.. pretty muddy run today too. Wasn’t easy but wouldn’t say it was horrific which I did expect, once Mr Johnson’s dulcet tones advised me I’d ran for 15mins the last 5 was good.. going to do run with my friend tomorrow who is on w5r1 and struggling so won’t be out for wk6 r1 until Friday. Not long now until my goal of my first park run. 😅 and I’ve also hit my 8stone weight loss target and now lost 8st 5lb ☺️. Feeling canny proud of myself x
Well I never..: Just finished week 5 and managed... - Couch to 5K
Well I never..
Wow that’s amazing!
Hey well done you. Greatly used trainers! Take care about running on consecutive days, if that is what I think your are going to do - the plan isn’t designed for that, as the enforced rest day is what repairs your muscles.
There are some superhumans on here like ju-ju- who do running streaks, but they do have years of experience under their belt.
Don’t want to rain on your parade, just want you to have a safe running C25K.
And you absolutely should feel very proud of yourself and your running achievements...
Love mud...but take care.. the rest days are really non negotiable...as Hidden says.. you need to stay injury free.
You are making great strides in all areas, well done.
The guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... makes it clear that rest days are crucial for new runners, or injury risk rises dramatically, especially at the stages you have reached.
Show W6R1 respect, it is trickier than it looks.
Fantastic 👏👏 and well done on your amazing weight loss!! Superb 🎉
I agree when Michael says “well done” I really believe he is with me and running with me 😀 Well done with your progress, you’re rocking it 🏅🎉
