Too many rest days?

Hi so currently I am on w2r2. I do my runs on a treadmill whilst my little one is at nursery. My last run was Tuesday. Due to really bad weather I haven't been able to get to the gym and probably won't get the opportunity again until Monday. Do you think that leaving pretty much a week of no runs will affect me. Should I start from w2r2 next time or carry on with r3?

Don't worry, just carry on where you left off.

It is said that it takes two weeks before you notice any loss of condition, so just go nice and slow and you will be fine.

This is covered in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Hi there. Ive recently graduated but had quite a lot of long gaps during my runs, including one of 12 days! Not ideal, maybe, but it didnt seem to matter too much so im sure youll be fine too 😊

You should be OK to carry on as long as you keep it slow and steady and don't let doubt get a foothold. Running does require self-belief as you progress so this could be good practice for you (meant in the nicest way). However, if you do try and it is too much, then you've just had a practice and it will give you an idea of how close you were to doing it. Either way you win as long as you keep going 😀
