So I have completed week 1 tonight I had an impromptu run, I wasn't planning to run until tomorrow as I was going to have 2 rest days. But I felt good had a good day on a course today so I thought why not.
I covered slightly future distance today and seemed to have my breathing under control.
My calves are aching so plenty of stretching to do.
Does anyone else have issues with mapmyfitness giving different info. Today I travelled slightly future but mapmyfitness has it as slightly shorter so confused.
All GPS apps are only as good as the hardware on which they are running. The majority of phones have GPS units that are not as accurate as a more dedicated running watch. That said even running watches will sometimes give inaccurate results.
The apps are less likely to vary one to the other, because they tend to work with standard system data.
Best to use your GPS as a guide rather than gospel and frankly it is little importance in the C25K context.
Yes, most apps differ. My phone records the run in Samsung Health then exports to Strava which always cuts .3 of a mile off! Just knowing you're doing more is the important thing for now 👍😊🌟
