I ran for 25 minutes! And the lovely Sarah has told me I'm now officially a runner. Me! A runner! I got quite emotional at the end of my cool down walk as she said that. I have trusted the programme and I know it works but up until then I hadn't really considered what an achievement it is, but it is. I can now run for 25 minutes without needing to keel over when I finish! My inspiration for this was losing my friend and today it felt as though he was nearby when I was walking home. Who knew something as simple but hard as running could be so emotional and inspiring. πŸ–€

P.S Purple Rain is one very, very long song lol πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

I’m W8R1 but remember posting something similar not long back and the feeling is amazing when SM utters those words. Well done you/us ..... I’m sure your friend would be very proud. ❀️

She would indeed! Well done! πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒπŸ’ͺ

Running can be very exhilarating. It’s cathartic too and can help us out in lots of ways when we are stressed or agonising over a thorny issue. It clears your head as you run. Well I think it does

It can take you places too! It’s useful commuting to work, running errands. I run to the shops I previously thought too far away. Saves you buying too much! πŸ˜ƒ

I hope you will keep running and make it a life-long habit

It really is. Wow you're nearly at the end! Thank you. 😍 He would probably be amazed too lol as this was so not who I was but it is who I am now, but yes I think he'd be proud too. πŸ’– x

You ran for 25 minutes to Purple Rain.... his purple highness would be smiling at you! Lol. The woowoo bits at the end always fool me and I love Prince and this song especially, so it’s nice you ran to this on a milestone run whilst thinking of a lost friend. Lovely Clairecandothis- you can and didπŸ‘πŸ™

Yey well done! I did my first 25 min run on Sunday and felt like crying at the end too...I have always told myself I can’t run so I never did - the fact that I am now and for a whole 25 minutes is pretty amazing. We’re actual runners now, go us! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ πŸ˜„

Very well done Claire, I can totally relate to your post as I got into running after the loss of my sister.

I’m sure your friend was by your side and he would be extremely proud of you 😊

Thank you. The loss of a loved one is a definite inspiration. A hard way but I felt very grateful today to just be outside, healthy, moving and enjoying the beautiful day. I genuinely felt that he was with me today. Was a beautiful moment. X

Great song, Purple Rain.

Yes, a lot of emotions mixed in with tbe achievements for everyone slightly different but there nonetheless.

Your friend would have been so proud πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Yay, well done! It will get easier and easier now. I'll rephrase that, you will achieve more and more. x
