D1/W5 - Mojo regained :)

The variation of the programme I do is 8 weeks and 5k in 35 minutes so if not distance wise at least segment wise I am now over the hump :)

Went like clockwork - 5 minute warm up walk then 5 run, 3 walk, 6 run, 3 walk, 5 run and then 5 cool down walk.

Honestly, doing the whole programme again has me convinced we make it so much harder than it really is by being WAY too tensed up with fear, worry and anxiety about 'can I REALLY do this (properly)"?

Newcomers - if you are feeling it's too hard.. next run, just run. Relax Everytime you notice how stiff and heavy and tightchested etc you feel and just let your feet fall ahead nice and lazily... I think you will find your Run will go far better :)

Wishing you many happy miles in your future ☺

Yes, the mental attitude...is part of it the belief that this should be difficult, it's a challenge, you've got to force yourself... when actually you just need to go with the flow?

So right John... I am enjoying this second time around... but, I have to say.. partly because it feels so much easier... is it the lack of worry.. or just that I am two years fitter... not sure...

Well done you x

If say lack of worry Floss :) No matter how fit, if too tense it's going to drain a body :)

Good Advice 😊
