All of my runs so far have been around the streets where I live, the same route every run. But this week as it’s half term we are having a few days away and rather than miss a run I brought my running gear with me. While the rest of the family were still in their warm beds I crept out of the hotel and into the frosty morning and headed to nearby Melton country park for W9R1. Well, I don’t know if it was the distraction of the change of scenery but the 30 minutes just flew by. It felt good to be running somewhere different.
Hang on, I ran for 30 minutes!!
Now I’m not sure what to do for the rest of week 9 when I get home, do I go back to my trusty route round the houses or seek out somewhere new locally?

I ran most of my runs until about Week 8 on the treadmill, when I tried an outside run that I hadn’t before. Now I’m finding myself daydreaming about different routes I could do!! How about trying Run 2 around somewhere new and then deciding after whether you want to do your graduation run round the houses or somewhere different? Congrats on thirty minutes!! 👍🏻🎉
