So I took a tumble in the forest this morning (landed in REALLY bad mud, laughed quite a lot!) but sprained my ankle. Walked to car and been active all day However it’s gotten worse over time and these evening it’s killing me and I know that it’s bad. I had just done w2r2 and am so enjoying it having never run before I don’t want to stop. And was thinking of doing my next run tomorrow so I can get on with week 3 (who knew?! I’ve surprised myself) but I can’t even think about running (walking/sorting kids is hard enough). Really gutted. ☹️

So sorry to hear you sprained your ankle but isn't it amazing that after just a fortnight you really want to get out there and run? People worry about maintaining motivation when they start... there's no need, after a while you're basically barging people out of the way to go running.
So rest up and try to be patient until the fun starts again.
I fell over yesterday (first time in 30+ years!!) and I was instantly petrified that I wouldn’t be able to run!! Luckily just pulled muscles in my arm and chest and can still run!
Poor you, rest (but not too much) ice, elevation and patience, you’ll be ok!
Ice is Brilliant! Get anything that will hold water into,your freezer. Playing a piece of ice over your ankle is good., keep the ice moving over your skin
