I completed C25k in December but then there was Xmas and flu so didn’t run for a whole month. On it again and done a 3 and a 3.5 run. They weren’t too bad but my legs feel achy for a couple of days after. Wondering how quickly I should work back up to 5k. So disappointed I had that month off

There's no hurry is there? Just build up again slowly and listen to your body. If it feels achey then do that distance again. It should feel easier this time as your core fitness hasn't changed that much. Don't forget to keep to the 10% rule. A month isn't long in the big scheme of things.

You're a runner now and so the chances are you'll have future occasions when you are forced to have a break. Life is like that. You have to learn to manage it and have patience (we're not great at that bit 🙂 )

Enjoy your return 🙂

Well done on getting back out there! I recently had 6 weeks off due to a pulled hamstring, and worked back up by doing one run from each week of the programme. It has felt good. I am back up to 20 mins continuous running and hope to reach 30 mins again by the end of next week. Happy running!
