... then this mornings run was worth it! First 10k in a few weeks and the local tracks and trails are wet and muddy and I just found it all quite tough going today! 🏃🏽♀️The gremlins had acccompanied me out in to the woods and tried to undermine my efforts at every turn... but I plodded on (albeit at a not very impressive pace 😮), splashed through my puddles and squelched through the mud...even refused to be beaten by the never-ending hill (how slow can you go but still technically be running?!). As my Garmin bleeped out the kilometres, I knew that this was one of those 'mental' runs, where the battle was not with the clock but very much in my own head! And I think I won! Now hopefully the next run will be one of the 'easy' ones. Happy running this weekend.🙂

Amazing... and so, so true! You have done brilliantly!
Thanks Oldfloss, how is running going? I have missed your lovely rambling posts🙂x
It is going well.. hampered by wind and weather.. and like you, yesterday. mud, mud and more mud! But.. back on track.. and still loving it Thank you!
Still rambling too
Lovely and so true Sandra. Well done on the 10K marker. I envy you in your lovely trail as I haven't been out in a week because I've got a coughing thing and feel 😩 but I can dream of my next run back 🙂
Well done - that's a good marker on your journey back.
I'm so, so with you on that. Some runs are just a test, and the building blocks for the next run. Well done for sticking with it. Great post, and a great reminder to help bust those gremlins. 👍
Those Gremlins keep raising their ugly heads, but you showed them who’s boss. Well done.
Sounds a tough one.....Very well done! Yes, I have wondered the same myself when very slowly plodding uphill!!
