Honest article in the Guardian about running !

Just read this and he kind of mirrors how I feel about running. Haven't been running for two months owing to injury and was to hoping to restart on 1-Jan but now struck down with the dreaded man flu. However, I know that as soon as I have recovered, I will be out again running as it makes me feel better but perhaps not always during the run.

I had seen the article but hadn't got to read it. Thank you for reminding me! It's great and yes, we can all relate to his experience: "On a good day, running just happens; on a bad day, every step must be willed into existence. " It sounds familiar, doesn't it? Love the turn of the phrase: "must be willed into existence." There's an art to running!

I, and no doubt Oldfloss, would tell him to slow down.

What are you trying to prove?

Relax and enjoy yourself.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Yes, he seems to "enjoy" suffering a bit too much! Still, the turn of the phrase that "every step must be willed into existence" echoes how most of us feel when we start the programme or when having a bad run, even very slow (you should have seen me this afternoon against the wind ) .
