Thought Iβd check in and see how everyone is doing now that Christmas and New Year celebrations are out the way!!
Iβve been out for some lovely but rather wet and windy runs since the start of 2018.
The first one was in the rain and unbelievably I have never run in the rain before!! I live in England and have been running since August and this is the first time I have ever run in the rain!! It was actually rather lovely and really refreshing ππ
The second run which I did today was under different conditions, the wind. Donβt get me wrong, Iβve run in the wind but not when itβs trying to push you back down the steep hill that you so desperately want and need to get to he top of!! I ran this to celebrate receiving a lovely bit of bling in the post today. This was for running 5K on New Years Eve and I think itβs rather sparkly and lovely π
Iβve signed ups for a medal that needs me to run 500K in 2018 so Iβve hits lots of motivation to keep getting out there but the medals certainly help!!
Whatever youβre running for, I hope running gives you the inner peace and calm that it gives me π€π€
Sending running love to you all πππ

Well done for the runs in the rain and wind and the challenge! I can't imagine how you managed with a hill. I was running on flat ground and then along a canal: it felt like I had no power lol I really had to push my way through and that was hard! One of the slowest runs I've done.
Happy New Year, and lovely as always to read a post from you. I'm thinking of doing the 500k challenge too! The 1000k is way out of my reach for now I think π. Also hoping to go for my first HM in September.
I haven't braved the rain yet either, though in Rome it tends either to be dry, or to bucket down monsoon-style.
I was beyond agitated and stressed today, but one 7k trot later and I am feeling infinitely better, so I am with you on the inner peace running brings- it is my main motivator. xx
Great you're experiencing all of the elements! One of the things I feel I've gained from this running thing is properly engaging with the outdoors whatever the weather - every day really is different. However am hoping it's a bit less windy for my run tomorrow!
