I spent a lot of yesterday driving one way round the motorway and then driving back, all of it in either the rain, or the rain and the fog, so I didn't really believe my weather app when it told me today was going to be clear and bright. But, Oh my goodness, what a difference.
First run of 2017 and it was glorious. Even better than the weather, I was running with the canicross group. It was lovely to be out with the group and all the dogs again. The icing on the cake? I saw the demon hill at the beginning of our route for the first time, and it is nowhere near as steep as thought. Kind of like that advert on the tv (or the Buffy episode) where the alien turns out to be tiny and someone treads on it.

Think that would be great running with the dogs. Weather was great too in the sunshine this morning. Though dodgy underfoot on pavements until I could run properly along canal with sun on my face.
My hill has started to shrink just like yours. After time they're not so bad. Flew up mine today although hadn't run for so long before getting to it. So had plenty of puff left to get up it.
Now all mince pies and holiday stuff over with can get into a routine and lose the few pounds gained.
It was a lovely day to be out, wasn't it. I didn't run today, but met up with friends for a walk and there were loads of dogs out enjoying the sunshine and mud!
