Wishing you all a lovely Christmas. This was my view yesterday morning (I am celebrating Christmas in France, skiing).
One benefit of being more active and confident / well enough to run outside is all the lovely views.
Thanks for all your crazy, funny, encouraging, sad, posts as we share life’s experiences. In a funny old way, running seems to make life better.
Happy Christmas (and for those celebrating but with a spare place at the table this year) you will always miss your loved one, but happy memories gradually overtakes the sadness. In time.

What a lovely view! Wish I could be on the slopes right now. Have a great holiday and stay safe. You don't want to end up on the IC due to making a poor skiing decision. I ruptured a disk in my neck 12 years ago when I lost my brain for a short time in the terrain part and ended up clearing a table top jump to land on the unfinished side, sinking in, and doing a spectacular head plant. It was a long recovery but I'm back and smarter for it. I avoid the terrain parks whenever possible, but if I have to follow my kiddo in, I stay off the jumps!
Oh that’s a jump that you don’t want to repeat. I have an 18 year old skiing brain in the body of a nearly 50 year old man. I know that’s a dangerous combination!
Haha, that's for sure! What we used to be able to do hurts so much more on the landing now. I grew up in the mountains and my friends didn't ski so I followed my older daredevil brother around. I learned some challenging terrain the hard way. My issue now is that I really enjoy going fast, choosing a line and going for it. Skiing with my 10 year old last year, as he got more comfortable, gave me a few extra grey hairs. He unfortunately seems to like going fast as well but I'm not sure the skill is quite there yet. At least they wear helmets now and their bones are a little more bendable than ours are 😄. I'm trying to be a more responsible skier now, a good role model for the kiddo 😁
