It was hard work this morning, and I know that it has taken me a lot longer than the nine weeks that younger and fitter folk are able to complete the programme in, but I tell you what, the sense of achievement and amazement is immense, and all the more precious to me because it was so hard won!!! It won’t stop here either, as I intend to aim next for the 5k in 30 minutes, and you never know I might even try for a parkrun sometime in the new year, lol! Thanks to everyone one on the forum as the advice and support I have found here has meant the difference between failure and success. Thank you all so much!
Yeeee ha! W9r3 in the bag!: It was hard work... - Couch to 5K
Yeeee ha! W9r3 in the bag!
Brilliant. You are a star Oldgal68!
Thatis a tremendous achievement! Well done.
That's brilliant and enjoy your well deserved place on the podium. Woohoo that runner! 🏆🍾🥇
Many congratulations.
Your aims are laudable, but do be aware that you should not be pushing hard on every run. No more than 20% of your running should be hard. The remainder should be at an easy pace. runnersworld.com/running-ti...
Yes, I will take your excellent advice IannodaTruffe and not push too hard. I did have a bit of a busy day yesterday though so was maybe a bit tired today, but I was so excited about graduating this morning that I went ahead. I have noticed that my peak heart rate is coming down with each run though so hopefully my runs will be easier as I consolidate. I’m averaging around 12.5 mins/mile so maybe I am going a bit faster than I should?
Congratulations graduate 🏅🌟🎓
Really well done- congratulations. I award you a mince pie with (optional) cream for your efforts. Enjoy basking in the glory
Really well done 👏👏

Bask on that podium, then enjoy the next part of your running adventure. 😃
