Excellent, well done! Onwards and upwards! I just ran for 30 minutes for a couple of weeks then started increasing by 10% each week for my 'long' run, I still do a 30 min slow run and a fartlek run as this seems popular. I'm working towards 10k, not for any particular reason except it keeps me motivated to have a bit of a plan!

I don't push myself really really hard though as I dislike gasping for breath, but I do a sort of sprint as it's only for 10 seconds at a time!
It's worth a try! Actually I prefer this version as it's a bit longer but involves light jogging in between, not walking or stopping which seems a bit extreme and inviting injury to me:
