Itβs a day I thought would never come. Whilst on the run, I thought of the first run and how I struggled to run for 60 seconds. Last week, I ran for 1 hour and 16 minutes.
Thank you for all the words of encouragement and advice. Itβs time for a rest before I work out what I want to do next. I think I might put up the running shoes for Christmas and do plenty of cardio at the gym.
Congratulations, and well done! I knew you'd get there (and I bet you won't be hanging up those running shoes for long). Keep us posted on what you focus on next.
Thank you. Iβm preparing to move houses so now is the time to rest to see if I have a stress fracture on my lower right shin or itβs just a shin splint.
Iβve to spoke a friend at the gym and he has a programme of spinning, swimming and cross trainer routines.
Iβve signed up for the Manchester 10K run which is next May. I donβt want to spend too much time away from running but I know I need to avoid any heavy impact on my legs.
Take it steady..get checked out properly and as and when, there are lots ideas and advice to move you onwards to the 10K plans... Go get your badge Graduate!
