Feeling soooooo disappointed/fed up/frustrated etc etc. Was absolutely on track to graduate by Xmas (just) but have been totally floored by 'The Lurgy'. I so want to run & I'm sure if I really pushed myself I could work through R3 (mind over matter etc) but - being sensible - I know it's the wrong thing to do. So - I'm accepting the inevitable & giving in. (I'm off on a big hol soon & absolutely have to be better for that.) The way I'm feeling, the most I think I can expect of myself is (if I'm better in time), trying to slip in one or two of the early week 6 runs just to keep me ticking over, then do the same once I'm back & get going again from there.
Oooof.

I have had the lurgy as well but mine was fairly mild (despite me constantly telling the other half that it was VERY bad!!!) but if you are struggling definitely rest up, if it takes until the new year to graduate so be it, you have come this far and you won't fail now.
I have not run for a week due to lurgy. Lovely day for a park run but I can't do it. Will be a few more days till I can run again I think.
Don't stress about graduation by a certain date. Life has a way of getting in the way especially at this time of year. You don't want to turn the fantastic achievement into a failure because you took a couple of weeks longer. The graduation run is waiting for you.
Thanks - so annoying tho. Lovely morning so thought I'd at least have a short walk instead, but barely made it to the end of the road! One day ... *sigh*. Get well soon yourself.
I had a bad time at the end of Week Six that held me up for a month, and that was hard. I'm back on track now in good health and have just done Week Nine, Run One this morning. But my time-out has made me realise that with c25k the journey is just as important as the destination. So I'm sure you're doing the right thing and waiting for the right time to graduate. It will be sweet when it comes.
Oh, thank you - just worried i'm going to lose discipline/impetus etc. On the plus side, it's unlikely I'd be running in this weather anyway! Good luck with your own running
