Good bye week 8!

I’ve got my first run of week 9 tomorrow and I was wondering if people could tell me if this is really slow and if I need to speed up to make the 5k?

You won't make 5k in thirty minutes unless you average less than 6 minutes per kilometre pace............but there is no reason why you won't get to 5k, just taking a bit longer, like the majority of graduates.

Finish the plan first and then 5k can be your next target.

Well done, you are doing great.

You will make 5K, but probably after Graduation..which is fine:)

Enjoy your last runs :)

Well you are a lot faster than me, and who cares anyway. There is time to think about speed in the future. 😃

Well... think of it this way. Week 9 is only 2 minutes more so unless you can run 1km in 2 minutes, you wont do it at that pace in 30 mins, but that is totally fine! Your pace is very similar to mine. I plan to keep doing the 30 mins after grad, with one run a week running as fast as I can, and the other two at a comfortable pace. Hopefully this will improve my "comfortable pace"!

I completed my first 5km last night, having graduated last week and it took 35 minutes... I wanted to push myself and I think the sub 30 minute 5km will come for me eventually... take your time and don't be in any rush to get that 5km, all you can do is your best x
