Got this one done. Ran really, really, really slowly....

I found listening to an audio book really took my mind off my breathing, temperature etc., but this may be why I was so slow?!!๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Well done! I did this run today too! Went after work instead of early morning! My legs and feet felt very tired but I kept going! I love my music but an audio book sounds like a good idea! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks Sara. Normally Iโ€™m a radio 2 listener, but tried the book to take my mind off all those little niggles. It did work but I was quite slow.

Do you mind running when itโ€™s getting dark? I much prefer weekend mornings now, about 8.30am.

Good luck and good running. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ˜ƒ๏ธ

Iโ€™m a radio 2 listener too! But I make playlists on Spotify to listen to on my runs!

I much prefer going out in morning and I donโ€™t mind the dark as I run on well lit streets and itโ€™s nice and quiet.

Iโ€™m not so keen on dark evenings!

Iโ€™m off work on Thursdays so I drive and treat myself to a nice coastal run!! In the light!!! And on a Sunday I go out about 8.30 am!

Iโ€™m hoping I keep going after Iโ€™ve graduated!! I like the structure of the programme!! ๐Ÿ˜€

I run along a towpath and the only real hazards are the puddles and swans. I donโ€™t mind the half light, but am not going out in the dark in the rain - no way!

I must work out how to make playlists another of lifeโ€™s little challenges!

Happy running ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜บ

Good running! And slow is good - slow builds stamina. Plenty of time to work on speed once you graduate, if you fancy it.

Longer runs require mental stamina and distraction is a great technique. Keep doing what you're doing - sounds like it is working a treat. ๐Ÿ˜˜

Thanks Sadie. Iโ€™ve definitely built stamina if not speed. Iโ€™ve also found I actually quite like exercise, but donโ€™t tell anyone.๐Ÿ˜บ
