Having tired C25K before by myself a few years ago and failing to finish, I noticed a women only run group doing c25k once a week near where I live. With £10 and promise of bling on graduation, I know this time I wont quit.
What I didnt realise would be such a motivator is the around 100 people who meet up every monday night. Which definitely gave me the motivation to go last night despite the rain, and the week before despite it being so cold I swear I couldn't feel my nose, and the first week despite being really nervous about running with people.
We just started week 5 this week (some of the runs are slightly different to the program, our 20 minute run in next week ahhhh) and I cant believe how much easier it is to run with the group than by myself for the other two runs in the week! If you're struggling with motivation, see if you have a beginner running group like this near you. Hopefully when I graduate the program I will not only get bling, but also be able to join the main group who are all graduates of previous C25K groups!
