Just been out for my run. After running it alone on Saturday and hitting 5k decided to take some advice I was given and keep to the 30 minute run. I ran Week 9 today so took MJ along with me. πIt was good to hear his voice and encouragement again. It seemed to drag a bit this evening, probably something to do with an extremely busy day at work with teenagers all day. Looking to keep to the 30 minute runs for a while until I am finding it comfortable. I ran 4.76k tonight so I am happy with that ππ» Enjoy your next run everyone π

Well done... ! Just relax and do a few more runs....just because you can !
Very gently stretching by a few minutes each run towards that oh, so close 5k, would not be too risky if you keep the pace down and it might make you grin like a Cheshire cat. Don't push it though.
Hey TJMazz, doing well post graduation! πππ
That's brilliant well done π
Post-grad is great isnβt it? Iβm at a very similar point running almost exactly the same pace as you. This week I did my first 5k, a 30 min run, and the βSpeedβ podcast. I had to stop to tie my lace (really, 9 weeks and you decide to come undone now?!) during the 5K but I did it in 32.35 so Iβm still counting it.
Had another wardrobe malfunction on the second run β¦ my keys burrowed their way out of my pocket and dangled on a thread around my knees β¦ just as well I run in the pitch dark I thought as I plunged my hand down my trousers to fish them out.
On Sunday my partner who is also a C25K graduate persuaded me to do the Speed podcast. Boy, itβs tough. I think that one can take a rest for a while.
Itβs a dreich day in Edinburgh but looking forward to my run this evening (a relaxed 30 minuter). Thereβs a strange pleasure to be had running on a miserable day.
Sounds like youβre doing great and really loving it too. How funny to have two incidents just after graduation. Glad you retrieved your keys πππ
Gosh, the speed podcast sounds kind of scary. Not sure Iβm ready for anything like that yet.
I agree running in the rain is very satisfying. I find it very relaxing for some reason. I always did love to play netball matches in the rain so I donβt know why I am surprised. Keep on running and enjoying post graduation ππ»
Well done. Good plan. π
