Very pleased jogger posting this morning!

I listened to all of your lovely advise, but still had that nagging doubt in the back of my mind saying “20mins non stop 🤦‍♀️”

So I decided to prepare 😉

1. Thought about running were I really enjoy and get the most inspiration to keep going - beach it is 😄

2. Music. Had to be ELO/Queen/ Tina Turner/ Drifters very odd mixture you may think 💭 but it works for me 🤣

3.BELIEVE a you can do it ! Was my prep talk to my self

So off I went 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️ I actually didn’t want to press the start button at first , I hesitated -prep talk again “dont be bloody stupid get on with it 😬

So off I went, 5 mins walk then off you go !

I couldn’t believe it when the voice said you have run 10mins - I’m thinking hang on that wasn’t so bad and I haven’t had a rest ...

A few minutes later my breathing didn’t feel great at that exact point the voice said “control your breathing - so I focused and started taking deeper breaths ,that’s better I thought , jogging along I thought wow I’m actually jogging at a nice pace and don’t feel exhausted, how can that be ??

Then them words You have done it 😜👍, now time to slow down , my heads thinking I could probably go for a little bit longer 🏃🏼‍♀️ but I never I slowed down 😀

The fabulous feeling of completing the jog was fantastic 🤗

But my legs felt like they 2 dead weights 😂😂

Nice 5min walk to slow cook down - Finished

Sorry about the long post but I wanted to share my experience with everyone because I’m so elated

What a wonderful place to run - and what great prep before setting out!

I found that making a new running playlist was really motivating - I really wanted to get out with there and get on with it... I’m definitely adding ELO to my list now.

Now that you’ve run for 20 mins, you know you’ve got what it takes to get to 30 - well done you!

Very very well done! You did well....:)

just a note of caution.. beach running, even on flat dry sand is hard work... ( suction from sand, even dry sand) it really can impact and exacerbate the strain on the calf muscles... so give those tired legs an extra stretch and maybe a roll :)

Go you though... Brilliant!
