Ok, this morning was tougher! The aches were still there from Monday's run and I felt neutral about going out. But I went anyway and at the end felt a real sense of achievement.
Now to put up with the aches and have a very tight muscle near the top of my left leg! Does it get better and less achy as you go on?

Oh yes! I don't know when you last ran, but you are using lots of muscles that you might not have pushed for a while. Of course they are screaming WHAAAT! As you progress everything is getting stronger and fitter. The rest days are there to help them recover. In a few weeks you will look at your legs and they will be changing shape and this will make you very happy
Hi, well done for starting the programme. Yes, it does get easier. I've just started week 4 and I love it. I had the same groin problem but if you run more slowly this shouldn't happen again. It's not a race, it's building fitness and stamina so concentrate on that for now. Pace comes later.. I know it sounds silly when you probably feel that you aren't going quickly at all but slow the pace down and enjoy the running. I'm probably running more slowly now but further and for longer. Keep running and enjoy it
