Done it! Set off at lunchtime, this time wearing my lovely, new gear (tights, top and lightweight, windproof running jacket), in cold, grey, drizzle. The 'warm-up' walk seemed to last forever as I was feeling the chill, but soon warmed up once I got into the run. Only a few short weeks ago, I kept well away from the beaten tracks so no-one would see me, but today I really enjoyed myself and ran not caring what I looked like or who saw me. My songs were on shuffle and when Jo came on saying that I only had two mins running left, this coincided with the start of a favourite Tom Petty track and I actually felt quite emotional. Thanks to all you lovely, lovely people for your kind words of encouragement, willing me on. Onwards and upwards to wk6 now ...
