This is what I have been doing guys basking in the ambience.
I completed my last run of week 9 last weekend with no problems(ok maybe a little tired) but who wouldnβt be I did run for 30 minutes, well actually I pushed the boat out and ran for 53 minutes (wanted to know how long it would take me to get to 5k) well now I know.
I am as pleased as punch, I never thought I would be able to do this program but listening to the fantastic words of wisdom from those that have successfully completed this program and gone on to enjoy their new hobby, I am truly grateful πππ
What shall I do now that is my question for you. My plan is definitely to carry on running 3 times a week, I was thinking 2 30 minute runs and a longer one at the weekend.
Iβve signed up to my local park run and got my barcode (although I have to say Iβm a bit scared π to go there just yet)
Thank you everybody and to those who are in the midst of it βkeep going, you can do thisβ ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½

The structure of c25k really helped me, so I continued with another structured programme after graduation, there are quite a few training plans built into other sites and apps. I also signed up for a virtual 5k, to give myself a goal. And, I use the zombies, run app to have a story to listen to, and stats to see my progress. All of which is to say, you should try to give yourself a lot of support as itβs suprisingly easy to fall off the wagon β but of course it depends on your personality. I need external recognition/motivation, you may be fine on your own...
The ideas you have to keep up two 30 min runs and a longer run (maybe Parkrun) sounds great. Also you could look at the c25k + podcasts if you fancy something different. Work on making that 30 mins your comfortable run, after this you can start to run further if you want to.
Well done on your 5k too, you will find you start to run faster naturally in time.πx
