Looking forward 😬

Starting week 8 tomorrow morning. In a bit nervous as my last run I found extremely hard at the last 10 mins and kept stopping and walking through it, but I have had a niggly groin but that wasn’t hurting when I was running it was more to the point of feeling exhausted. My mind Deamons where telling me to give up running as I was finding it very hard but I don’t want to give up. Bring on tomorrow morning!! I’m just hoping it’s easier 🤞

Well done for making it to W8 ... nearly there!

Don't worry about your last run, we all have runs that are not so good. Tomorrow will be fine.

Keep smiling, keep running, keep posting.

Good luck, happy running!

Slow down.... please. just slow down. The longer runs are for pure enjoyment and to relax into. There should be no feeling of exhaustion..this is a journey, not an endurance test.

Make sure you are warmed up well, are upping your rest day exercise too at this stage and stretching well after each and every run...:)

So, slow and steady as you go.... and if the struggle is there, slow down more... :)

Yes just slooooow it down a bit and you'll be fine

As has already been suggested; when you feel that you can't go on, slow down! If necessary slow down to a shuffly jog, until you feel recovered and then pick up the pace a little. Also remember that this is as much psychological as it is physical. Do not give in to the negative thoughts. At some point in the podcasts Laura told me that the times when I was finding it hard, were the times when I was really benefiting in terms of building stamina. I often think about that and it helps me to keep going. Just because you are struggling at point X, that doesn't mean that you will still be feeling this at point Y.

You need to find a pace that is sustainable over longer distances. When you do that you will find that you can progress to 5k and beyond. Good luck!
